Jon Jones and Colby Covington clash over Gable Steveson

UFC fighters Jon Jones and Colby Covington have reignited their long-standing rivalry following comments made by Covington regarding Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson.

Covington, a former college roommate of Jones, suggested that Steveson should distance himself from Jones, claiming that Jones possesses “bad energy” and describing him as a “demon” and an “evil person.” Covington’s remarks followed Steveson’s 12-second knockout loss to Sean Sharaf at UFC 331, an event Covington attributed to the negative influence of Jones.

Jones responded via social media, dismissing the idea that his presence influenced Steveson’s performance. He criticized Covington’s logic and pointed to the differences in their professional achievements and public reception, accusing Covington of being “obsessed” with him.
