Jon Jones says his physical strength would overwhelm Alex Pereira, calling him ‘not a big‑big boy’
In a recent interview with ALF Global, former UFC two‑division champion Jon Jones said his physical strength would be “too much” for Alex Pereira, describing the Brazilian Light Heavyweight champion as “not a big, big boy” compared with heavyweight fighters such as Stipe Miocic and Ciryl Gane. Jones added that Pereira’s wrestling is “way behind” and that, if he managed to take Pereira to the ground, he could submit him quickly.
Jones also discussed other fighters, praising Khamzat Chimaev as capable of beating anyone with the right mindset, and admitted he no longer feels he is in his prime. He revealed that he used to party before his title bouts yet still won, saying his confidence made him feel “chosen by God”.
