Jon Rahm targets top‑10 finish at Scottish Open ahead of The Open

Spanish golfer Jon Rahm entered the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick with the aim of securing a top‑10 finish rather than the title, after falling too far back on the leaderboard. He used the event as a preparation round for the upcoming Open Championship at Royal Troon, focusing on ball‑striking and adapting to the fast, windy links conditions.

During the third round Rahm posted a two‑under‑par round, gaining a few positions but also recording a bogey, an eagle and another bogey as weather interruptions, including dense fog and cold, halted play for over two hours. Despite the challenges, he remained mathematically in contention and emphasized the importance of a strong finish to build momentum for the major.
