Jon Schaffer releases ‘Jekyll Island’ music video

Jon Schaffer, the founder and songwriter behind heavy metal acts such as Iced Earth and Demons & Wizards, has released the official music video for ‘Jekyll Island’. The track is the opening song on the new album, ‘Thought Crimes (Volumes 1 & 2)’, which serves as a reimagining of his previous works from 2009 and 2011.

Schaffer stated that ‘Jekyll Island’ is inspired by G. Edward Griffin’s book, ‘The Creature From Jekyll Island’. He noted that understanding the nature of the monetary system is essential for those seeking positive global change. The project aims to highlight themes regarding the financial system and authoritarianism.

Physical editions of the album, including colored vinyl, limited-edition leather CD packaging, and cassettes, are available through The Circle Music, though many formats have already sold out via the Iced Earth merchandise store.
