Jon Stewart criticizes media narratives on Republican unity

Jon Stewart, host of ‘The Daily Show’, criticized mainstream media outlets for promoting narratives of a Republican revolt against Donald Trump. Stewart described these reports as ‘cruel’ because they suggest a fracture within the MAGA movement that he argues does not exist, stating that most Republican politicians will not break from Trump.

During his segment, Stewart also addressed Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent state visit to Washington, D.C. He mocked a clip of Trump claiming Xi was impressed by a new granite helipad at the White House, contrasting it with China’s advanced technological infrastructure. Stewart further questioned the Republican response to China’s reported supply of drone and missile parts to Iran, noting that previous GOP stances would have been more critical of such interactions.
