Jonah Hill film ‘Cut Off’ undergoes reshoots after poor test screenings

Reshoots are reportedly underway for the film ‘Cut Off’, starring Jonah Hill and Kristen Wiig. The production, which completed filming in September 2025, has faced significant scrutiny following poor test screenings.

Some test audience members have described the film as ‘unwatchable’, while reports from Matt Belloni at ‘Puck’ suggest that Warner Bros. considers the project ‘impossible to release in theaters’. The film follows siblings from a wealthy background who are suddenly cut off from their family funds.

While the future of the project was previously subject to speculation regarding the acquisition of Warner Bros. by Paramount, the decision to conduct reshoots indicates an attempt to salvage the production. A release date has not yet been announced.
