Jonathan Blow's 'Order of the Sinking Star' slated for PlayStation 5 launch in 2026

Arc Games announced on 21 April that its new adventure‑puzzle title Order of the Sinking Star will be released for PlayStation 5 in 2026, with simultaneous versions planned for Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. The game, created by veteran designer Jonathan Blow (Braid, The Witness), will feature more than a thousand hand‑crafted puzzles across four distinct worlds that gradually intersect, allowing characters such as a queen, thief, warrior, mage and even a talking boat to combine abilities.

A fresh trailer released on the PlayStation Blog showcases the game's evolving mechanics, and a demo showcased during Steam Next Fest in June allowed players to carry their progress into the full release. The title is positioned as a large‑scale narrative adventure that blends exploration, story and increasingly complex puzzle systems.
