Jonathan Caicedo signs with Burgos Burpellet BH

Ecuadorian cyclist Jonathan Caicedo has signed a one-year contract with Burgos Burpellet BH to compete in the 2027 season. Caicedo joins the team from the Wheeltop Rotor Chengdu Team.

Caicedo brings significant professional experience to the squad, including five seasons in the UCI WorldTour and five appearances in the Giro d’Italia. His notable career achievements include a stage victory at Mount Etna during the 2020 Giro d’Italia, the 2018 Vuelta a Colombia, and recent wins at the 2024 Vuelta al Tachira and Vuelta Bantrab. Most recently, he secured the overall classification at the Tour of Magnificent Qinghai.

Damien Garcia, the sporting director for Burgos Burpellet BH, praised Caicedo’s versatility and experience. Caicedo is the second reinforcement announced by the team for the 2027 season, following the signing of Estonian rider Romet Pajur.
