Jonathan Coachman discusses past WWE tensions and commentary dynamics

Jonathan Coachman has shared insights into his past experiences and internal tensions within WWE. During an appearance on ‘The Coach and Bro Show’, Coachman revealed that Corey Graves showed reluctance when Coachman rejoined the RAW commentary team in 2018. He noted that the three-person booth setup created immediate tension, as it disrupted existing arrangements.

Coachman also recounted a near-physical confrontation with Bruce Prichard during a WWE road trip. The dispute arose after Coachman arrived approximately four minutes late to a 9:00 a.m. shoot in San Jose following a show in Fresno. Coachman stated that Prichard began berating him immediately upon his arrival, leading to a heated verbal exchange.

Reflecting on his commentary career, Coachman discussed the difficulties of working in a three-man booth alongside figures like Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. He noted the challenges of managing airtime and following real-time instructions from Vince McMahon, which often left little room for storytelling.
