Jonathan David excels in early La Liga matches for Atlético de Madrid

Canadian striker Jonathan David has made a significant impact following his loan move from Juventus to Atlético de Madrid. In his first three La Liga appearances, David has scored three goals and provided one assist, including a goal on his debut against Real Madrid.

David described the move as a “breath of fresh air,” noting that the change in environment and the quality of his teammates have made finishing attacks easier. Canada national team coach Jesse Marsch revealed he played a role in the transfer by recommending David to Atlético manager Diego Simeone, highlighting the player's scoring ability and work ethic.

The loan deal includes an option for a permanent transfer valued at approximately 25 million euros.
