Jonathan David scores consecutive goals for Atletico Madrid

Canadian striker Jonathan David has scored in consecutive matches following his move to Atletico Madrid. After scoring against Real Sociedad, David netted his second goal in a starting appearance against Osasuna, breaking the deadlock in the 24th minute following an assist from Baena.

David joined Atletico Madrid on loan from Juventus, where he struggled to secure a consistent starting role. During his single season in Turin, he recorded 8 goals and 5 assists in 47 appearances. His lack of playing time was partly due to the return of Dusan Vlahovic from injury and tactical preferences from coach Luciano Spalletti.

The loan agreement between Juventus and Atletico Madrid includes an option to purchase the player permanently for approximately 25 million euros. Under the current terms, the player's salary of roughly 6 million euros per year is to be split equally between the two clubs. Atletico's management will evaluate his performance at the end of the season before deciding on the permanent transfer.
