Jonathan Groff to star in RSC's all-male As You Like It

Broadway actor Jonathan Groff is set to make his Royal Shakespeare Company debut this autumn in an all-male production of ‘As You Like It’. The performance will take place at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, with previews beginning on 26 September.

Directed by Daniel Evans, the production restores the historical arrangement where male players performed female roles. Groff will play the lead character, Rosalind, who disguises herself as a young man named Ganymede. The cast also includes Fisayo Akinade.
