The Cleveland Cavaliers appear to have moved away from pursuing Kuminga after acquiring Peyton Watson in a three-team trade involving the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets. This development increases the likelihood of Kuminga joining the Lakers or the Timberwolves.

Negotiations with the Lakers have faced challenges due to salary expectations.
