Jonathan Milan wins Renewi Tour stage one

Jonathan Milan won the first stage of the Renewi Tour, securing the leader's jersey after a competitive sprint finish. Despite heavy rain during the race around Diest, the Italian champion managed to outpace Olav Kooij and Tim Merlier.

The stage featured an early breakaway consisting of five riders: Lionel Taminiaux, Dries De Bondt, Timo Kielich, Quinten Hermans, and Carl Frederik Bevort. While the breakaway maintained a lead of over a minute for much of the race, the sprinting teams, including Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe and Soudal-Quick Step, successfully closed the gap as the race progressed.
