Jonathan Rowe responds to Bologna CEO regarding transfer dispute

Jonathan Rowe has responded to public criticisms made by Bologna CEO Claudio Fenucci regarding his recent transfer to Atalanta. Following the close of the transfer window, Fenucci stated that the decision to sell the English winger was driven by behavioral issues and a lack of respect toward teammates and staff during pre-season training.

Rowe addressed these claims during his presentation at Atalanta, opting not to engage in a direct confrontation while implying that the club's version of events was incomplete. “I don't want to comment on the words of the Bologna CEO; those who know me know the truth,” Rowe stated, adding that he prefers to focus on his new objectives and his growth under coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

Despite the friction, Rowe noted that he maintained good relationships with his former teammates and expressed gratitude to Bologna for the opportunity to showcase his talent. The dispute highlights a significant rift between the player and the Bologna management, which prioritized squad cohesion and internal discipline over individual talent.
