Jonathan Taylor commits to staying with the Indianapolis Colts as contract year looms

Running back Jonathan Taylor is fully participating in the Indianapolis Colts' training camp and has indicated he would like to remain with the team for the long term. He said there have been "good conversations" with his agent and the front office and expressed faith that a new deal is moving in the right direction. Colts owner and CEO Carlie Irsay‑Gordon echoed the sentiment, praising Taylor as a team leader and saying she would love to see him be a "Colt for life."

Taylor entered the final season of his current contract after a 1,585‑yard rushing season with a league‑leading 18 touchdowns and a third Pro Bowl selection. The organization is reportedly evaluating his contract status alongside other cornerstone players such as Quenton Nelson, with General Manager Chris Ballard keeping the owner informed of any potential extensions.
