Jonny Williams signs permanent deal with Eastleigh FC

Midfielder Jonny Williams has signed a permanent deal with Eastleigh Football Club, joining the National League side until the end of the 2026/27 season, subject to official approvals.

The 32-year-old former Wales international and Crystal Palace academy product joins the Spitfires after spending the summer training with the PFA squad to maintain fitness. Williams expressed excitement about the new challenge and the determination he observed within the squad during his first training session.

Williams joins alongside former Oldham full-back Jake Caprice, who also spent the pre-season at the PFA training camps. The signing is noted as a significant acquisition for manager Matt Gray, given Williams' experience in the Premier League and his history of achieving promotions in the Championship and League One.
