Jono indie game launches on Steam with unique multiplayer queue system
Jono, a creative indie platformer developed by Part Time Monkey, has launched on Steam. Led by Thomas Eriksen, the original artist for the first Angry Birds, the game features a unique multiplayer mechanic where only one person can play at any given time.
Each player is granted a one-minute turn to progress through the pixel-art, physics-based levels. Once the minute expires, the next person in the queue takes over exactly where the previous player left off. While waiting, other users can watch the gameplay in a live-stream style environment, chat, use emojis, and create new levels for the community.
The ultimate goal for the player community is to collectively complete one million unique levels. To date, players have successfully completed over 87,000 levels. The game is free to play and has maintained a 96% positive rating from users on Steam.
