João Araújo expands business from mining to artificial intelligence

Entrepreneur João José Oliveira Araújo has expanded his business operations from mining into a diversified portfolio including metallurgy, logistics, agribusiness, and artificial intelligence. Much of his professional foundation was built through the expansion of Mineração Buritirama, where he managed manganese operations in Pará, Brazil.

To facilitate international competition, Araújo integrated production with logistics and long-term commercial planning. This strategy included establishing a long-term agreement with China Minmetals to supply manganese, connecting Brazilian operations to major Asian markets. Following the growth of Buritirama, Araújo established Grupo Buritipar to further integrate various productive chains, combining traditional industrial sectors with emerging technologies.
