João Augusto Liberato recalls his father Gugu Liberato's fatal accident

João Augusto Liberato, the eldest son of the late Brazilian presenter Gugu Liberato, has shared details regarding the family's experience following his father's fatal accident in 2019. During an interview with LeoDiasTV, João Augusto described the period of uncertainty and anguish the family faced at a hospital in Orlando, United States.

The accident occurred on November 20, 2019, when Gugu Liberato fell approximately four meters while attempting to repair an air conditioning unit in his home's attic. He was hospitalized in serious condition, and brain death was confirmed two days later.

João Augusto noted that his grandmother, Maria do Céu Liberato, required a consultation with a Brazilian doctor to process the severity of the situation. The family arranged for a Brazilian physician, who was in Puerto Rico at the time, to travel to Orlando to review the medical scans and confirm the diagnosis to the family.
