João Ferreira takes second place at Rally of Morocco

Portuguese driver João Ferreira secured second place in the general classification at the Rally of Morocco, the fourth stage of the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC). Driving a Toyota Hilux with navigator Filipe Palmeiro, Ferreira finished 4 minutes and 23 seconds behind the winner, American Seth Quintero.

Ferreira’s performance followed a difficult second stage where he dealt with two punctures and a fever. Despite these setbacks, his recovery allowed him to climb to fourth place in the overall World Championship standings with 86 points.

In other categories, Martim Ventura and Alexandre Pinto achieved top podium finishes in the Rally2 and Challenger classes, respectively. The event was dominated by Toyota, with South African Henk Lategan also securing a podium spot.
