João Godoy wins silver at Pan-American Beach Tennis Championship

João Godoy secured the silver medal in the under-18 category at the Pan-American Beach Tennis Championship held at CT Pantanal. Representing Mato Grosso, Godoy competed in his first continental tournament and reached the final alongside partner Giovanni Nomelini.

The championship match lasted over two hours, with the duo of Augusto Neto from Maranhão and Vinícius Schurtz from Santa Catarina ultimately winning the title with a 2-1 set score (7/6, 3/6, 10/1). The winners, who entered the tournament as the third-ranked Brazilian pair, defeated the top-seeded teams to claim the gold.

In the women's under-14 category, Venezuelan players Amanda Franco and Loisanna Monzon won the title by defeating Brazilian players Marcela Leme and Maria Nunes with scores of 4/2 and 5/3, marking the only non-Brazilian victory among the 15 tournament categories.
