João Guilherme selected for Mato Grosso U-16 basketball team

João Guilherme Cavalcante, a 16-year-old athlete from Colíder, has been called up to join the Mato Grosso Men’s Under-16 Basketball Selection. He will compete in the Brazilian Championship of Selections.

The national competition is scheduled to take place from November 9 to 16 in Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro. Cavalcante is the sole representative from the municipality of Colíder among the selected players following a recent selection stage held in Sinop.

This call-up follows previous national engagements for the athlete, including a selection for the national phase of the Games of Selections in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, in August.
