Itapecerica authorities inspect Muã Mimatxi Indigenous Village

The Municipal Government of Itapecerica, through its Civil Defense, conducted a preventive technical inspection at the Muã Mimatxi Pataxó Indigenous Village on September 17. The operation was carried out in partnership with the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA) and local indigenous leaders.

The inspection utilized drone technology for aerial terrain mapping alongside ground monitoring to identify vulnerabilities and assess the risk of forest fires. The collaborative effort aimed to align operational strategies for fire prevention and establish guidelines for the continuous protection of the reserve and the surrounding community territory.
