João Monlevade house fire leaves residence structurally unsafe

A house fire occurred on Monday morning in the Cruzeiro Celeste neighborhood of João Monlevade, Minas Gerais. The fire, which started around 10:36 a.m. on Alameda Dinamarqueses, reportedly originated in the service area due to burning electrical wiring.

The flames consumed accumulated materials in the service area and spread to the bathroom and the wall separating the kitchen. Firefighters arrived while the fire was already in the cooling phase and used approximately 60 liters of water to prevent reignition.

Following the incident, both the Military Fire Brigade and the Municipal Civil Defense determined that the residence lacked structural safety for habitation. The owner was advised to leave the premises, and municipal social assistance services were called to support the resident.
