João Monlevade municipal council reports parliamentary amendment funds and launches staff training program

A recent report listed the amounts of parliamentary amendments directed to João Monlevade by various elected officials since 2021, totaling several million reais. Notable contributions included R$3.85 million from former state deputy Bernardo Mucida (PSB), R$1.24 million from federal deputy Igor Timo (Podemos), and R$935,950 from federal deputy Lincoln Portela (PL), among many others.

Between July 21 and 30, municipal council staff participated in a ten‑course training program organized by the Instituto Triarri. The courses covered public procurement, budget management, fiscal responsibility, parliamentary amendments, project management, public policy, workplace safety, and professional image. Council members praised the initiative, with council president Fernando Linhares (Podemos) emphasizing its importance for improving public service, and parliamentary agent Natasha Barcellos and ombudswoman Mércia Pires Cardoso highlighting the benefits of continuous qualification for the team.
