João Moura Júnior traces professional bullfighting career

João Moura Júnior, born in Portalegre in 1989, has built a professional bullfighting career defined by his family heritage. He began riding as a child and first performed publicly at age seven in Monforte.

A pivotal moment in his career occurred on May 15, 2005, in Nîmes, France, where he received his alternative from his father, João Moura. He later confirmed this in Madrid on June 5, 2005, and received his alternative under Portuguese regulations at Campo Pequeno in Lisbon on May 3, 2007.

Throughout his career, Moura Júnior has worked to balance the traditional teachings of his father with the development of his own personal style in the arena, a process involving intense preparation and the ability to interpret animal behavior.
