João Pessoa begins installation of Christmas decorations

The City Hall of João Pessoa has begun installing Christmas decorations across the capital. The project is being managed by the Secretariat of Infrastructure (Seinfra) through the Public Lighting Directorate (Dilup) and is scheduled to continue through November.

The installation includes approximately six thousand illuminated items, such as Christmas trees, Santa Claus figures, stars, nativity scenes, and a musical tunnel. Key locations for the festivities include Parque Solon de Lucena, Busto de Tamandaré, the Historic Center, Parque Três Ruas, Avenida Epitácio Pessoa, and Avenida Joaquim Avundano.

Joyce Alves, director of Dilup, noted that this year’s decorations will incorporate technological innovations like remote management (telegestão) to monitor lighting points and optimize repairs. The decorations will utilize LED technology to ensure energy efficiency.
