João Pessoa educators undergo Special Inclusive Education training

Approximately 1,200 education professionals from the João Pessoa municipal school system participated in a continuing education program focused on Special Inclusive Education (EEI). The training took place at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) technology center auditorium.

The initiative was a partnership between the João Pessoa Secretariat of Education and Culture (Sedec-JP) and UFPB through an extension project regarding teacher training and curricular development in the final years of elementary school. The program aimed to reflect on pedagogical work and provide teachers with strategies to make teaching more accessible to students with different learning rhythms and needs.

Experienced professors from the UFPB Department of Pedagogical Qualifications mediated the sessions. Participants noted the importance of the training for improving classroom practices and helping students with disabilities transition toward higher education and the labor market.
