João Pessoa expands street repairs and sanitation work across dozens of neighborhoods
The municipal infrastructure department (Seinfra) completed a week of maintenance in João Pessoa, Brazil, carrying out pothole repairs, drainage cleaning and public‑lighting upgrades in 40 neighborhoods, including Cuiá, Mangabeira, Centro and many others. Residents can request these services through the "João Pessoa na Palma da Mão" app.
The city's urban cleaning agency (Emlur) continued intense sanitation operations on Saturday, collecting household waste, mowing, sweeping and removing debris across the same districts. Superintendant Ricardo Veloso highlighted the agents' dedication, especially on holidays, and urged citizens to correctly bag waste and respect collection schedules.
Both efforts aim to improve road conditions, reduce flooding risks and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and visitors.
