Paraíba governments launch infrastructure and road maintenance projects

The government of Paraíba and the municipality of João Pessoa are conducting various infrastructure and urban maintenance projects. In Cajazeiras, the State Government, through the Department of Highways (DER), is investing over R$ 7.7 million to pave 9.06 km of urban roads, covering approximately 30 streets to improve traffic and safety for more than 63,000 residents.

In João Pessoa, the Municipal Infrastructure Secretariat (Seinfra) is executing a widespread maintenance operation. This includes pothole repairs across 47 neighborhoods, maintenance of the public lighting network, and drainage system interventions such as cleaning gutters and extending networks to ensure safer roads for drivers and pedestrians.
