Brazil regional updates: Manaus investments and João Pessoa public services
Various regional developments are occurring across Brazil. In Manaus, Senator Eduardo Braga has proposed measures to accelerate investments in the Manaus Industrial Pole by utilizing federal lands near the airport and speeding up the approval of Basic Productive Processes. This initiative aims to facilitate approximately R$ 12 billion in investments.
In João Pessoa, the municipal government is conducting extensive infrastructure maintenance, including pothole repairs across nearly 50 neighborhoods and upkeep of public cemeteries, markets, and shopping centers. Additionally, the city reported allocating R$ 213.6 million to public health services during the first four months of 2026, exceeding the legal minimum.
