João Pessoa launches July pothole‑patch program across 44 neighborhoods

The municipal government of João Pessoa began its July operations to fill potholes in 44 neighborhoods of the capital. Teams from the Directorate of Road Maintenance and Drainage work daily, starting at 8 a.m. on July 1, to repair road surfaces and improve traffic safety.

The initiative also includes drainage work such as cleaning and unblocking galleries, and maintaining manhole covers to strengthen storm‑water runoff and lower flood risk during the winter season. Residents can request maintenance services, including pothole repairs, drainage clearing, earthworks, and street lighting, through the free mobile app “João Pessoa na Palma da Mão,” available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
