João Pessoa begins citywide pothole repair in 47 neighborhoods

On Monday, 27 March, the municipal Secretariat of Infrastructure (Seinfra) of João Pessoa launched a daily “pothole‑cover” operation that will treat road defects in 47 districts across the capital. Teams are deployed simultaneously to improve safety for motorists and pedestrians while also performing drainage work and maintaining LED street lighting in selected areas such as Oitizeiro, Castelo Branco, Mangabeira and Gramame.

Residents can request any of the services – pothole filling, drainage repairs, illumination or earth‑moving – through the municipal app “João Pessoa na Palma da Mão”. The initiative aims to keep the city’s streets and public utilities in better condition throughout the week.
