João Pessoa expands pothole repairs and launches financial education course
The João Pessoa municipal government intensified its daily "tapa‑buraco" operation, deploying maintenance crews to nearly 50 neighborhoods to fill potholes, clear drainage and repair street lighting. The effort, coordinated by the Secretaria de Infraestrutura, aims to improve safety and mobility for drivers, motorcyclists and pedestrians across the city.
Separately, the Escola de Governo Municipal (Esgov) of the Secretaria de Administração began a two‑day "Imersão Financeira" course for municipal employees. The program, led by director Murilo Rabello and taught by economist Gabrielle Chagas, covers personal budgeting, financial planning and the four pillars of financial health—control, saving, prudent use and planning. Sponsored by Impact Hub João Pessoa, Impact Hub Manaus and Banco Itaú, the training seeks to improve staff’s financial well‑being and overall public‑service performance.
