João Pessoa Mayor advances elderly care and market works

In João Pessoa, Mayor Leo Bezerra is advancing several municipal initiatives. He has projected the completion of the Mercado do Rangel public market works within six months following the termination of a previous contract due to poor quality and delays. The project, valued at nearly R$ 8 million, will include 116 commercial boxes and 23 food stalls.

Additionally, the Mayor visited several elderly care facilities, including Lar da Providência and Casa da Divina Misericórdia, to propose the creation of 'Centros Dia' (Day Centers). These centers aim to provide activities, care, and social interaction for the elderly during the day, supported by the municipal government.

In Marília, the city is preparing to reinaugurate the Ganha Tempo service center on September 10. The facility has undergone extensive renovations to address long-standing structural issues such as inadequate lighting, poor climate control, and lack of accessibility, aiming to provide a more humanized and efficient environment for both citizens and municipal employees.
