João Pessoa Municipal School Olympics to hold finals this Saturday

The Municipal School Olympics in João Pessoa, organized by the City Hall through the Secretariat of Education and Culture (Sedec-JP), are reaching their conclusion. The final competitions for all modalities are scheduled to take place this Saturday, August 29, at the Arthur da Costa Freire Municipal School Center (Cemapi) in Mangabeira.

Recent competitions included judo matches held at the Municipal Administrative Center (CAM) in Água Fria. Notable participants included Bruno Miguel Xavier de Freitas and Maria Silva, both of whom secured victories via 'umiippon'. Throughout August, more than 3,600 students have participated in the event, which features 12 different sporting modalities. The director of Defise, Theodan Stephenson Cardoso Leite, noted the growing success and positive impact of the Olympics on student development.
