João Pessoa municipality launches financial education course for staff

The Escola de Governo Municipal (Esgov) of João Pessoa's Secretaria de Administração held the first day of an "Imersão Financeira" course on Tuesday, 28, aimed at municipal public servants from various secretariats. The training took place at the Estação Cabo Branco – Ciência, Cultura e Artes in the Altiplano neighborhood and was delivered in partnership with Impact Hub João Pessoa, Impact Hub Manaus, with sponsorship from Banco Itaú. Director Murilo Rabello said the initiative seeks to improve employees' financial management, while lecturer Gabrielle Chagas explained that financial health rests on four pillars—control, saving, proper use, and planning—and stressed the role of behavior and self‑awareness. Participant Simone Costa, a human‑resources coordinator at the Policlínica do Idoso, thanked Esgov for the program. A second batch of the course is scheduled for the following day, Wednesday, 29.
