João Pessoa launches road, drainage and lighting repairs across dozens of neighborhoods

The João Pessoa municipal government, through the Secretaria de Infraestrutura (Seinfra), is carrying out a city‑wide maintenance operation. On Tuesday, 7 April, crews began work in 44 neighborhoods, and on Wednesday, 8 April, the focus shifted to 32 neighborhoods. The effort includes “tapa‑buraco” road repairs, cleaning and unblocking of drainage galleries to prevent flooding, and the maintenance of street lighting.

Residents can request or track services via the free mobile app “João Pessoa na Palma da Mão,” available on Google Play and the Apple Store. The coordinated actions aim to improve traffic flow, reduce flood risk during the rainy season, and ensure reliable public lighting throughout the capital of Paraíba.
