João Pessoa Procon-JP releases fuel and consumer goods price surveys

The Municipal Secretariat for Consumer Protection and Defense of João Pessoa (Procon-JP) has released new price surveys regarding fuel and household hygiene products in the capital.

In the fuel sector, common gasoline prices remain stable, ranging from R$ 6.21 to R$ 6.90 per liter. Alcohol prices saw a slight increase in the lowest recorded price, moving from R$ 4.27 to R$ 4.55. Diesel S10 prices fluctuate between R$ 6.59 and R$ 7.59.

A separate survey of 90 hygiene and cleaning items across 13 supermarkets revealed significant price disparities. The largest gap was found in 5-liter Omo liquid soap, which varied by R$ 26.09 between establishments. Other notable variations included Ala powder soap, Tixan Ipê liquid soap, and various Oral B and Colgate toothpaste brands.
