João Pessoa implements social, educational, and sports initiatives

The City Hall of João Pessoa has implemented several municipal initiatives aimed at social inclusion, education, and tourism promotion.

Through the Caravana do Cuidar, the Secretariat of Human Rights and Citizenship provided 358 free services to residents of the Ernani Sátiro neighborhood. The initiative, which includes the Secretariat of Public Policies for Women, focuses on bringing public assistance directly to communities to support vulnerable populations and women facing violence.

In the realm of sports and inclusion, the city hosted the 4th Sports and Recreational Festival for People with Disabilities via the Esportes Sem Limites project. Additionally, the Municipal School Olympics brought together thousands of students for athletic competitions and recreational activities like the ‘Kids Games’ to promote physical development.

Educational advancements were also highlighted at the Annual School Monitoring Immersion in Salvador, where João Pessoa presented successful literacy strategies. Meanwhile, the Secretariat of Tourism promoted the city's travel routes to over 7,800 travel agents during the Travel Next Minas event in Belo Horizonte to boost the upcoming summer season.
