João Pessoa secures property for new House of Justice and Citizenship

The Mayor of João Pessoa, Leo Bezerra, has announced support for the implementation of the Casa de Justiça e Cidadania (House of Justice and Citizenship) in the city. During a meeting with Superior Court of Justice (STJ) Minister Carlos Augusto Pires Brandão, the mayor confirmed that the municipal government is currently securing a property to host the service.

Scheduled to open in January of next year, the initiative aims to provide support, guidance, and access to consensual conflict resolution mechanisms and restorative justice practices. The project will operate through a cooperation agreement involving the João Pessoa City Hall, the Court of Justice of Paraíba (TJ-PB), the Public Defender's Office, the Public Prosecutor's Office, the State Government, and the Federal Justice system.
