João Pessoa to host entrepreneurship fair for Lesbian Visibility Day

The LGBT Citizenship Promotion Coordination in João Pessoa is partnering with the Maria Maria Lesbian Women's Association of Paraíba and the Brazilian Lesbian Association (ABL) to celebrate National Lesbian Visibility Day on August 29.

The event, titled ‘Feira Empreenda Sapatão’, will take place at Praça da Paz in the Bancários neighborhood from 2:00 PM to midnight. The fair aims to bring together lesbian women through a large-scale entrepreneurship event, featuring cultural attractions, a literary fair, networking spaces, and integrative therapy practices.

Geraldo Filho, coordinator of LGBT Citizenship Promotion, stated that the partnership strengthens the connection between municipal management and organized civil society. Maria Regina, the executive coordinator of the Maria Maria Association and event creator, noted that this year's edition will expand on previous successes to promote celebration, resistance, and citizenship.
