João Pessoa youth athletes achieve success in regional sports competitions

Youth athletes from João Pessoa achieved significant success at the Copa Brasil de Águas Abertas held in Maracaípe, Pernambuco. The Fundação Campeões do Amanhã (FCA) team secured 13 medals, including seven gold and six bronze. Notable performances included Talles Nunes, who won two gold medals in the Infantil 1 category, and Heitor Deca Medeiros, who earned two gold medals in the Mirim 1 category.

Separately, the João Pessoa Municipal School Olympics concluded with record participation. The event involved over 3,700 students from 84 schools across 12 sporting modalities, including futsal, volleyball, handball, basketball, and swimming. The finals were held at the Arthur Costa Freire Municipal Center for Integrative Activities (Cemapi) in Mangabeira, highlighting the city's initiative to use sports as a tool for student development and citizenship.
