Jordan Addison's Thumb Injury Sidelines Vikings WR2 Briefly
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison jammed his thumb during a practice session in training camp. Team imaging indicated only minor soreness and no serious damage, and head coach Kevin O'Connell said Addison will miss the next few days of camp but is expected to return within a couple of days.
The injury does not affect Addison's status as the team's WR2 behind star receiver Justin Jefferson. O'Connell noted Addison's quickness and route-running confidence, while also emphasizing the need for continued consistency. In Addison's short absence, younger receivers such as Tai Felton and undrafted Dillon Bell could see increased playing time.
Addison, a 2023 second‑round draft pick, has been negotiating a contract extension but indicated his focus remains on improving his play and staying healthy for the upcoming season.
