Jordan allocates 10 million dinars to University Student Support Fund

Jordanian Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan announced that, under the direction of King Abdullah II, the government will allocate an additional 10 million dinars to the University Student Support Fund. These funds, sourced from the auction of premium vehicle license plates, aim to expand the number of beneficiaries by 10,000 students for the upcoming academic year.

The government has doubled the fund's total allocations to 40 million dinars from 20 million dinars two years ago. This increase is expected to raise the total number of supported students to approximately 63,000, up from a previous annual average of 53,000.

In addition to financial support, the Prime Minister highlighted a comprehensive restructuring of the educational sector through the establishment of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development. This initiative focuses on modernizing teaching methods, integrating technology, supporting teachers, and improving school infrastructure, including the completion of 86 new schools within the last year.
