Jordan and Islamic Nations Condemn Israeli Escalation at Al‑Aqsa Mosque

Jordan’s foreign ministers, together with the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt, denounced Israel’s recent escalation at the Al‑Aqsa Mosque. They condemned settler‑led raids, the placement of Israeli flags, police‑set tents and restrictions on worshippers, calling the actions a breach of international law, UN resolutions and the historic‑legal status of Jerusalem’s holy sites.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also issued a statement condemning what it described as “crimes of the Israeli occupation and settler terrorism” in the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem. The OIC urged the international community to provide protection for the Palestinian people and to hold Israel and settler groups accountable under international criminal law, warning that the attacks constitute forced displacement, ethnic cleansing and potential genocide.
