Jordan Ayew joins Sheffield United bench after transfer

Jordan Ayew has been named on the Sheffield United bench following his move to the club as a free agent on a one-year contract. The Ghana international was included in the matchday squad by manager Chris Wilder for the Championship fixture against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Although Ayew did not enter the pitch, Sheffield United secured a 2-1 comeback victory. After falling behind to a goal from Kristi Montgomery, Tom Cannon and Sydie Peck scored before halftime to secure the team's first away win of the season. The 34-year-old Ayew, who previously played for clubs including Leicester City, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace, awaits his debut for the Blades.
