Jordan Bardella to be re-elected RN president unopposed

Jordan Bardella is set to be re-elected as president of the Rassemblement National (RN) without opposition. As the sole candidate declared for the upcoming congress in Orléans, scheduled for October 24 and 25, Bardella has secured 421 endorsements. While he will not run for the RN National Council, he will serve as an ex officio member by virtue of his presidency and has the authority to co-opt 20 additional members, including Marine Le Pen.

Separately, financial disclosures from the Haute Autorité pour la transparence de la vie publique (HATVP) reveal that Bardella has earned over 1 million euros in net royalties from his two books published by Fayard. These earnings, accumulated over three years, significantly exceed his annual compensation as a Member of the European Parliament, which was recorded at 72,792 euros in 2024.
