Jordan Bardella is set to be re-elected as the president of the Rassemblement national (RN) without opposition. He is the sole candidate for the position during the party congress scheduled for October 24 and 25 in Orléans. Bardella has secured 421 sponsorships, representing nearly the entire party leadership.

The upcoming congress will also include the renewal of the RN National Council through electronic voting between September 21 and October 22. While 421 candidates have applied for the 100 available seats, Bardella will remain a member of the Council by right in his capacity as president.

In parallel, Marine Le Pen continues to consolidate her influence within the party through a tight-knit circle of family and long-term allies. This group includes her sister Marie-Caroline Le Pen, her niece Nolwenn Olivier—who has been appointed communications director—and Marion Maréchal, who has recently reconciled with the party. Le Pen is not a candidate in the upcoming internal party elections.
