Jordan Buck identified as legendary whitetail deer record

The Jordan Buck, shot by hunter Jim Jordan in 1914, has been identified as a legendary whitetail deer. Scoring 206 1/8 points according to the Boone and Crockett Club system, it remains one of the largest typical whitetail bucks ever recorded.

For over 60 years, the identity of the hunter who took this record-setting buck remained unknown in official records because the taxidermist vanished with the antlers. The buck is currently recognized as the second-largest typical whitetail ever taken in the United States and the third largest in the world. The antlers are now owned by Bass Pro Shops.
